Facilitation
We have been developing and implementing formats for a number of online and face-to-face workshops bringing the public together with researchers, policymakers, civil society or industry. When working on these types of projects, our goal is to make these events as innovative and engaging as possible, ensuring that there are plenty of opportunities for meaningful discussion and dialogue.
Our facilitation projects include work with REFUCOAT, NANOPACK, CETAF, Scivil, the Flemish knowledge centre for citizen science, Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, SAPEA (Science Advice for Policy by European Academies), Berlin Science Week, Ecsite, the European network of science centres and museums, European Citizen Science Association and the EU Science Hub of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre.

“It is inspiring to contribute to a scientific research environment that remains anchored in the realities and interests of a variety of individuals. Collaborating with the public takes your scientific knowledge off the beaten track and challenges you to take a creative approach to your scientific practice. Go ahead: once you try participatory research, you won’t look back!”
At Stickydot, Florence provides support on citizen science and public engagement projects. Florence has been applying participatory approaches in the fields of environment and public health for over five years. She cares deeply about making every step of a scientific research project inclusive, creative and sustainable.
