This October, a new Horizon Europe project we’ve been developing kicks off: VALORAI, a European network of knowledge valorisation intermediaries. The idea is straightforward: technology transfer offices, incubators, clusters, innovation agencies and NGOs do vital work connecting research to society, but across Europe their capacities are uneven and often siloed. ValorAI brings them together into a community of practice where they can learn from each other, build shared tools, and get better at what they do.
The project is coordinated by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and brings together twelve partners from nine countries, including universities, research organisations, innovation agencies and SMEs.
Stickydot’s contribution covers engagement, training and policy. We’re leading the project’s stakeholder and citizen engagement work, helping network members design and run their own engagement processes through coaching, a dedicated working group, and funded pilot activities. We’re also leading VALORAI’s policy engagement, producing policy briefs and organising dialogues with policymakers at European, national and regional levels. And we’ll be contributing to the training programme, helping design the curriculum and facilitate peer learning circles where intermediaries work through real challenges together.
